As Director of Product Design, I led a 20-person multidisciplinary team spanning product design, content strategy, technical writing, and design operations. I owned platform UX strategy across foundational user experiences for 17M+ MAUs. During an 8-month leadership transition, I served as interim department head, managing strategic planning, resource allocation, and cross-functional alignment across a 50-person organization.

R&D Leadership
  • Define UX vision and roadmap in alignment with business strategy
  • Partner with product, engineering, and business leaders to drive prioritization and focus
  • Lead org-wide planning, OKRs, and headcount strategy across design disciplines
  • Shape org design, job architecture, and succession plans to support team growth
  • Present product direction and outcomes to executive stakeholders and company-wide
Product Design
  • Drive end-to-end UX strategy for platform experiences like navigation, personalization, onboarding, and account management
  • Ensure design excellence across mobile and web to deliver cohesive, accessible, high-impact experiences aligned with product vision
  • Establish design quality standards and run regular critique, review, and feedback practices
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to shape roadmaps, define scope, and improve delivery
  • Mentor design managers and ICs, supporting growth, hiring, and team cohesion across domains
Design Systems
  • Define and evolve design system vision, visual language, and governance model in partnership with engineering and brand
  • Lead a cross-functional team responsible for architecture scaling design tokens, components, and documentation across web and mobile experiences
  • Ensure accessibility, consistency, and performance across all system assets and experiences
  • Drive adoption through education, tooling, and partnership with product teams
  • Measure system impact through usage metrics, product velocity, and UX consistency across the org
Content Design
  • Define and scale UX content strategy across journeys, surfaces, and product areas
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of content designers, integrating content into product planning and reviews
  • Establish content standards, naming systems, and editorial guidelines in partnership with legal, brand, and localization
  • Publish shared content patterns in design system to support consistency and reusability
  • Champion inclusive, accessible language through user testing, design critiques, and system-wide content governance
Technical Writing
  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of help content, chatbots, API docs, and release notes
  • Build and manage a high-performing team of content strategists aligned to product areas
  • Oversee content tooling and CMS infrastructure, including taxonomies, search, and localization
  • Collaborate with product, design, engineering, marketing, support, and localization to ensure accurate, timely, and user-friendly documentation
  • Define and track metrics that measure content effectiveness
Design Operations
  • Define and scale workflows that improve design quality, speed, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Manage tools and systems to support efficient design delivery, including Figma, Jira, and wiki documentation
